The site aims to achieve overall compliance with the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) guidelines. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the whole site conforms, this is an ongoing process and some content may not yet reach the standards in all areas.

How to change visibility features

The following suggestions may improve the visibility of our site.

Apple Mac OSX

To change the size of the window (Internet Explorer):
Click 'View' then 'Full Screen' from the toolbar, or press F11.

To disable all styles on this site, and therefore have plain text and links (Internet Explorer):

Click on 'Internet Options'
Select the 'Accessibilitybutton
Tick the options to ignore colours, font styles and font sizes.

Alternative text & Images

All images on this site have an 'alternative text' which describes the image or it's function.

PDF files

PDF files can be read using Adobe Reader software, which is available for most computers from Adobe's site (new window)

Navigation & Key strokes

The site can be navigated by using the keyboard to switch between elements. The 'Tab' key allows the user to move the selected area through the site, and allows them to select a link by using the 'Return' key or the space bar for selecting items.

"Skip to" Navigation Link

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key (for Firefox 2 press ALT + an access key + enter); on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key.
