La Gomera: Forest Fires: Update 1
The FCO have updated the travel advice for Spain in relation to the forest fires in La Gomera. The relevant extract of the advice is below for your reference:
Travel Summary
There are reports of forest fires on the island of La Gomera affecting the areas of Alajero, Vallehermoso and San Sebastian and the island of La Palma affecting the area of Mazo. A number of local residents have been evacuated from the areas affected as a precautionary measure.
Latest information from the Canary Government is that the fire on La Palma is under control. Flights to La Gomera and La Palma are unaffected.
